DICKSON CITY - AccentCare, a national home health agency, which operates offices in northeastern, central and southeastern Pennsylvania, held a grand opening for a facility at 851 Commerce Blvd. on Tuesday, said Melissa Santai, an account executive for AccentCare. Santai noted the growing need for home health and continued care services in the region led the organization to Dickson City. "We service patients 18 and older, but more specifically seniors and veterans," Santai said. "We do a lot of work for seniors just to avoid hospitalization and nursing home placement because people want to be home. They don't want to be in nursing homes and hospitals. We're just trying to be a trusted home health provider."
