Credo Technology introduced its Toucan PCI Express (PCIe) 6, Compute Express Link (CXL) 3.x, and Magpie PCIe 7, CXL 4.x retimers, alongside OSFP-XD 16x64GT/s (1 Tbps) PCIe 6/CXL HiWire AECs. The company will showcase these innovations at the upcoming Open Compute Project (OCP) Summit from October 15-17. These devices leverage Credo's expertise in Serializer/Deserializer (SerDes) technology, offering improved energy efficiency and performance while using more mature process nodes to cut costs compared to competitors. • Toucan PCIe6/CXL3.x retimer built on TSMC N7 process technology, sampling in Q4 2024. • Magpie PCIe7/CXL4.x retimer using TSMC N5 node, sampling in H2 2025. • Toucan supports PAM4 PCIe channels up to 43dB with x16 power of 11W. • Demonstrations of PCIe 6 retimers and HiWire AECs at OCP Summit. • Enhanced diagnostic tools with embedded logic analyzer and GUI for faster system debugging. "Credo is excited to extend our leadership into a new category of high-speed connectivity with the introduction of the Toucan PCIe 6 and Magpie PCIe 7 retimers," said Phil Kumin, Associate Vice President of PCIe Product at Credo.
