More than 100 employees at an Eden Prairie manufacturing plant will be laid off by the end of the year. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says it received a layoff notice from Danfoss Power Solutions II, LLC this week. According to the notice, the company intends to close its plant at 14900 Technology Dr. in Eden Prairie by the end of the year, laying off around 110 employees. Google Street View The first round of layoffs is expected during a two week period starting on March 25. Additional layoffs are scheduled in May and December of this year. Positions in areas including engineering, manufacturing, shipping, testing and supervision will be impacted by the layoffs. Hourly employees represented by a union do have bumping rights within the company, according to DEED. DanFoss makes engine, hydraulics, cooling and heating products for a range of industries.
