EssilorLuxottica reports that its short-term greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, in line with its climate change mitigation efforts. By 2030, compared with the baseline year of 2022, the Franco-Italian optics giant is committed to reducing its absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 42% for scopes 1 and 2, and by 25% for scope 3. In line with the new objective of reducing scope 3 emissions, we will include our suppliers and business partners in this decarbonization process, with an open, collaborative and inclusive approach", comment its directors.
