January 17, 2025 Hokuriku Electric Power Company INPEX CORPORATION Hokuriku Electric Power Company and INPEX CORPORATION Enter Collaboration Agreement on Decarbonization and Advancement of Energy Systems Hokuriku Electric Power Company (hereinafter "Hokuriku Electric") and INPEX CORPORATION (hereinafter "INPEX") announced today they have signed a "Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement on the Decarbonization and Enhancement of Energy Systems" (hereinafter "the Agreement"). Under this Agreement, Hokuriku Electric and INPEX will mutually and effectively utilize their expertise in energy solutions, aiming to decarbonize and enhance energy systems towards the realization of a carbon- neutral society. The Agreement enables both companies to engage in comprehensive discussions and evaluations in close cooperation. Summary of the Comprehensive Agreement Date January 17, 2025 Title Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement on Decarbonization and Enhancement of Energy Systems Purpose To effectively utilize the companies' knowledge of energy solutions, aiming to decarbonize and enhance energy systems and achieve a carbon-neutral society. The companies will work together to conduct comprehensive evaluations. Evaluation 1 ． Methodology of collaboration including the supply chain of fuels for stable items energy supply and decarbonization. 2 ． Promotion of introduction of next-generation fuels and renewable energy such as carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen, fuel ammonia, etc. 3 ． Introduction of high value-added energy systems and customer-oriented energy services using advanced technology. 4 ． Improvement of energy infrastructure resilience. 5 ． Other initiatives contributing to regional revitalization. Hokuriku Electric Group aligned with our new mid-term management plan established the Fiscal Year 2024 Action Plan as of April 2024. Under the slogan, "Creating, Delivering, and Supporting the Promotion of Carbon Neutrality in the Hokuriku Region," Hokuriku Electric is pushing forward with our commitment to integrated regional decarbonization.
