Dassault Systèmes has announced a long-term partnership with Volkswagen Group, under which the German automaker has chosen its cloud-based 3DEXPERIENCE platform as the core platform for its engineering and manufacturing activities. "Engineers, designers and other business users of the Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche brands will be able to use virtual twins to streamline the development of their vehicles", explains the enterprise software provider. "Virtual twin experiences shorten engineering and manufacturing cycles for complex automotive systems, streamline workflows, optimize resources and accelerate time-to-market", it continues.
