Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd.: CLPe Teams Up with Zoomlion and Sanroc, Planning Introduction of Hong Kong's First Five-Axis Electric Heavy Crane Lorry and Battery Charging and Swapping Service

CLPe today (March 17) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a leading Mainland manufacturer of construction machinery Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Company Limited (Zoomlion) and Sanroc International (Hong Kong) Limited (Sanroc) planning to introduce Hong Kong's first five-axis electric heavy crane lorry and provide one-stop battery leasing, charging, swapping, and maintenance service for electric heavy trucks, to promote green transport and support the HKSAR government to achieve its carbon neutrality goal by 2050. The 38-tonne and five-axis electric heavy crane lorry features a crane-lorry design and will be used mainly for transport and construction. The battery has a range of around 250 km, catering for long-distance transportation of heavy trucks. The trucks can be charged to 70% in just one hour. Customers can also opt for the battery swapping service, which takes only 15 minutes, significantly enhancing the efficiency of electric heavy trucks.
