P W Minor & Son: P.W. Minor ponders layoffs at Batavia shoe plant

Batavia shoe manufacturer P.W. Minor LLC - the oldest company in Genesee County - has filed notice with New York state that it may lay off its entire workforce. According to a WARN notice, the 151-year-old company may eliminate between 42 and 82 employees who work at the plant at 3 Treadeasy Ave. The date range for possible layoffs starts today and ends Dec. 31.
