Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism: Visit Greater Palm Springs hires new VP of sales

Californian destination marketing organisation Visit Greater Palm Springs has appointed Carolina Viazcan (pictured) as its new vice-president of sales. Viazcan brings more than 20 years of tourism sales experience to the role, most of which has been in Greater Palm Springs. Most recently, Viazcan was director of Ssles and marketing at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California, where she has worked since 2010 in a variety of sales leadership roles. During her tenure, Viazcan led recovery efforts through the pandemic and directed sales and marketing efforts during a property renovation. Prior experience includes PGA National Resort & Spa, JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, and La Quinta Resort & Club Viazcan will oversee the Convention Sales and Destination Experience teams. She will represent Visit Greater Palm Springs as a top meetings destination, increasing meetings and convention business with an emphasis on the need period time frames. Viazcan will develop the strategic sales plan for convention sales and help increase awareness and destination knowledge of Greater Palm Springs as a premier Southern California meeting oasis. "Carolina's sales experience, destination knowledge, and proven leadership will contribute greatly as we continue to grow our meetings and conventions business in Greater Palm Springs," said Colleen Pace, chief sales and marketing officer for Visit Greater Palm Springs.
