Parabel: Parabel to open new farm for increased duckweed protein production by end of this year

As the boom of plant protein continues, Florida-based Parabel is betting on a relatively little-known plant in North America, duckweed, as a new protein source for American consumers. The company's new facility is slated to open by the end of the year, with a capacity of producing 3,500 tons of duckweed a year.
