When our team heard about the work that the Ronald McDonald House in Austin does to support families with children undergoing medical care, we were excited to help out. Last week, we put together a healthy lunch for 20 families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Eric Olszewski, Patient IO’s multi-talented culinary enthusiast and software developer, led the charge as Master Chef while the rest of our team served as eager apprentices. When we arrived at the Ronald McDonald House, we were immediately welcomed as part of the community by workers and volunteers who dedicate their time to helping families in need. As we prepared lunch for the families, we saw the care that the Ronald McDonald House put into the home. Residents in the house are treated with meals, snacks, toiletries, and most importantly, private rooms in which they could rest while caring for their children.
