If you take a few minutes to assemble an emergency roadside kit for your car, then you will be very prepared in the event that your car breaks down. You will even be able to help someone else who may be in their hour of need. When you put your kit together, you should make sure that you include plenty of bottled water, blankets and hand warmers, and a First-Aid kit. You should also include a cell phone and charger and a flashlight and working batteries. Bring a tow rope, flares or reflective triangles, and jumper cables. Sand, salt, and cat litter are useful if you get stuck and need some traction. You should also pack a foldable shovel, windshield washer fluid, and an ice scraper or snow brush. If you have these items in your emergency roadside kit, you will be better able to handle almost every roadside emergency.
