Perspectives Blog National Night Out: A Night of Fun

National Night Out is an annual event that brings communities together to create a safer and more caring place to live, that promotes police and community partnerships. At the Perspectives supportive housing campus, we did just that.  We hosted an event filled with food, fun activities, and an overwhelming sense of community spirit that made it truly special. This nationwide initiative provides an opportunity for community members to connect, get to know each other, and build trusting relationships with local police, to work together toward creating a safer neighborhood. At Perspectives, we take this opportunity to engage with our clients, staff, neighbors, and partners in a fun and engaging way. Our warm and welcoming staff members were excited to see everyone come together and enjoy an evening of entertainment and of course food. We had a great turnout of both our residents and our community partners, who shared in the festivities. One of the highlights of the night was the delicious food. We enjoyed snow cones, popcorn, ice cream, and a variety of drinks – all the sticky fun food we love. Beyond the food, there were even fun activities for the kids, including a bouncy house and games. One of the most amazing portions of the evening was the performance by our resident musician, who took the stage and entertained everyone with his engaging and energetic tunes. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the fun-filled night. The event provided the opportunity to showcase the great work that the supportive housing facility is doing and the team’s accomplishments. Attendees learned more about our programs, services and connect with our staff. We received lots of positive feedback, with many people expressing interest in learning more about what Perspectives does and how they can get involved. National Night Out may happen once a year, but the spirit of community that it brings will stay with us for a long time thanks to this incredible night. We are exceptionally grateful to everyone who made this night a success.  We look forward to making next year even better.
