Piedmont Triad Partnership: Former CEO of an N.C. economic development group charged with 4 felonies

David Powell, who was accused of "financial irregularities" during his time as CEO of the Piedmont Triad Partnership, has been charged with four felony counts. The charges include two counts of embezzlement in excess of $100,000 and two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses in excess of $100,000.
