Planet Security USA Blog Security Camera USA Market 2016

Security Camera USA Market 2016Security cameras have gained a severe popularity in the USA as a means for environmental monitoring. These cameras are discretely placed in specialized locations in homes, offices and public places. They record every form of interactive activity going on in the environment, usually with no one's consent. The reason behind this is to detect any signs of nefarious activity unknown to the environment. Security cameras installed in public place in discrete areas of states in the U.S have been effective in identifying robbers, catching over speeding drivers and most importantly reducing the crime rate in this specific location. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the market for security cameras boomed in the United States. Shocked by the severe attack on U.S. soil, everyone ranging from small-business owners to giant multinationals companies had to rush to get an advanced security measure put in place. Though the use of security cameras predated the ugly 9/11 incidence, the market exploded in the aftermath months due to the attack.Even until this year, there have not been any cases of major terrorist attacks in the USA, but there is now an estimated 30 million more available security cameras. Instead of using them to prevent terrorist attacks, security cameras in the United States are more often used for mundane purposes such as nabbing criminals or discovering nefarious activities at the office. Different varieties of new security businesses emanated while existing security providers rushed to get new government contracts for security systems installation. In 2016, estimation from market research firm IMS Research showed that more than 30 million security cameras are sold in the United States in the past decade. Still, the panic never ceased as it creates the increasingly accurate impression that there is always a camera present on every corner, and it's now uncommon to enter an office building without seeing some proofs that you're truly being watched. Now in 2016, only a few people feel surprised when they have their photo snapped on their walk into a building for a business meeting, or even for a lunch with a friend. This is much boom for the security camera market value. This kind of confidence in the security camera market in the united State was clearly revealed in SDM's 2016 Industry Forecast Study, which indicated that nine out of 10 integrators and dealers reported high expectations for a good, favorable and even excellent year.In fact globally, security cameras have accounted for several of equipment revenues, and research firm IHS believes that this trend will continue as the market for security cameras climbs from just under $13 billion in 2013 to an expected $25.6 billion by the year 2018. Even at this same time, IHS says, network-based equipment are taking over the analog as the better choice for video surveillance systems, accounting for about 75 percent of that $25.6 billion market. Of course, these are quite encouraging numbers which certainly reflect what manufacturer sees in their business. So far, 2016 has been an incredibly booming year for security camera markets in the United States and lots are expected in times to come.
