PokerTek: Matthews gaming table company agrees to $12.6M sale.

A Texas based gaming company has agreed to purchase Matthews-based PokerTek, Inc. for $12.6 million in a cash deal expected to close this year. MultiMedia Games Inc. of Austin has agreed to offer $1.35 for the designer and manufacturer of electronic gaming tables. The price is roughly a 30 percent premium on the company recent trading range, which ran from $1 to a $1.12 per share in April.
