Progress Energy: Duke Energy Progress settles (small) part of its 10.8% rate hike

Duke Energy Progress will give $2.5 million to the Helping Home Fund for energy assistance to low-income families as a partial settlement with anti-poverty advocates involved in the utility's 10.8 % rate hike case.
