Protection 1: ADT, Protection 1 merge following $6.9B private equity buyout

ADT has merged with competitor Protection 1 Security Solutions, satisfying a stipulation of the $6.9 billion deal that made the Boca Raton business a portfolio company of Apollo Global Management, a New York private equity firm.
