QIAGEN: Fivespan Is Said to Build Stake in Life Sciences Group Qiagen

Photo: Bloomberg Activist investor Fivespan Partners has built a stake in Dutch diagnostics firm Qiagen NV , according to people with knowledge of the matter. Fivespan has engaged in constructive conversations with Qiagen's management team, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. The size of Fivespan's stake and its intention couldn't immediately be learned. Representatives for Fivespan and Qiagen declined to comment.
