CoolSys, a provider of sustainable refrigeration, HVAC, energy and engineering solutions, has launched a service to remove and recycle Redbox kiosks, according to a press release. Following Redbox's bankruptcy and subsequent liquidation , thousands of kiosks nationwide require removal. CoolSys' service addresses the challenges associated with kiosk removal, including refrigerant handling and component recycling. The company's process includes secure disconnection, unit removal, concrete bolt grinding and responsible recycling with data destruction. "We're leveraging our expertise in refrigeration and sustainability to ensure that these units are not only removed but also responsibly recycled," Rich Wyckoff, CoolSys CEO and president, said in the release. CoolSys has removed and recycled more than 4,700 Redbox kiosks to date. The company offers retailers a turnkey solution encompassing site evaluation, removal and end-to-end recycling and disposal.
