One of Birmingham's largest privately held companies has acquired two companies, positioning it for further growth in the Southeast. Trussville-based McPherson Companies Inc. acquired certain assets of both Retif Oil & Fuel LLC and B&M Oil Co. The acquisition was made in one transaction, as earlier in the day, Retif acquired B&M.
