Durham-born Rise Biscuits Donuts has shuttered its two locations in the Charlotte market. The locations in Steele Creek and Ballantyne were owned by franchisees - both of whom are no longer associated with Rise. "Unfortunately, those two locations closed, but Rise still has big plans for Charlotte. Franchisees are working on new locations now," the company said in response to questions.
