"The plan was for this to be for our 10 year old's STEM activity to help him learn and understand robots. It filled this objective completely. What it quickly became on top of that was a family project. The box says 8 and up, but it easily translated to my 6 year old (who is a natural with building) constructing the design and my 3 year old using the controller (it does have small parts so consider that with younger children). That the AI SmartCore 4 is a 4-in-1 led to hours of play for each of them for days, even my oldest at 12. I love this product and the hands on fun it gives my kids."
