Worthington Industries Inc. is acquiring a New York steel company for $55.5 million. The $3.1 billion Columbus manufacturer said Wednesday it expects to complete the purchase this month of Rome Strip Steel Company Inc. Rome Strip Steel, with 130 employees, is based in upstate New York and has a warehouse in Walhalla, South Carolina.
