MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - Rosneft has received exploration licenses for the lower horizons of the Ugut, West Ugut, Middle Ugut, South Surgut, East Surgut (southern part), Ust-Balyk, Mamontov, Ombinsk, Teplov and Kinyaminsky fields in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District (KhMAD). The relevant information has been published in the state register of subsoil areas and licenses. These licenses are valid until March 5, 2030. All of these fields have been under Rosneft's management since 1993-1994. Before the company's consolidation in 2006, they were managed by the subsidiary Yuganskneftegaz. Taxation for activities on the Ugut, Middle Ugut and Kinyaminsky deposits is carried out through the profit-based tax (PBT). This system allows companies to pay taxes based on the costs incurred in developing specific fields. These three fields of Rosneft are included in the third group of the PBT. The third group (brownfields) includes fields in the Tyumen region, the KhMAD, the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and the Republic of Komi with an oil reserve depletion degree of 20% to 80% as of January 1, 2017, or from 10% to 80% on January 1, 2017, if the field has been in development for over six years, as well as fields in the North Caucasus Federal District and the Sakhalin region. In addition, in 2023, fields with viscous and super-viscous oil were also included in the third group of the PBT. Earlier this year, Rosneft received exploration licenses for the lower horizons of the Kudrinsky, Malobalyk, Efremovsky, Middle Balyk (main part), Solkinsky (southern part), South Balyk, Petelinsky and Maisky fields in the KhMAD.
