Deep within Baja California, Mexico, a landscape bathed in warm waters beckons all sorts of adventurers to witness nature in full splendor. This is a voyage aboard Rocio del Mar. Its mission: to explore the underwater world and seek all kinds of exotic life forms. Welcome to the Sea of Cortez!All aerial, surface, and underwater scenes in this video were filmed over a period of one week in July 2015 while participating in a photography/videography workshop organized by Bluewater Photo (bluewaterphotostore.com) aboard the Rocio del Mar liveaboard (rociodelmarliveaboard.com). My sincere gratitude to the crew of Rocio del Mar, the staff of Bluewater Photo, and the 19 other fellow scuba divers for an amazing week exploring the Sea of Cortez.Aerial scenes were shot using a GoPro HERO4 Black Edition camera mounted on a DJI Phantom 2 Quadcopter with Zenmuse H3-3D 3-axis gimbal. All other scenes were shot using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III camera with either a 24-70mm wide-angle lens or 15mm fish-eye lens. Underwater shots used an Aquatica 5D Mark III housing with a pair of Sola 4000 video lights.
