Cargill Inc., Sanderson Farms Inc., and Wayne Farms LLC affiliates stepped closer to exiting antitrust litigation over their alleged scheme to drive down pay for their mostly immigrant workforce, when a federal judge in Maryland granted preliminary approval to settlements worth $85 million.
