Grand Haven, Mich.-based injection molder Molding Solutions Inc. has acquired Norton Shores, Mich.-based Seabrook Plastics Inc. which manufactures plastic components for the automotive, military and beverage markets, effective April 16."Seabrook Plastics shares the same values we do," Jon Riley, Molding Solutions managing partner said in a letter to customers. "They exceeded our hopes for an organization we can combine with and continue the tradition we have for excellent service, deep expertise, and an environment our customers and associates want to be a part of."Seabrook uses a molding process that allows it to manufacture parts with extremely tight tolerances, "key to serving industries like the military," an April 15 news release said.All of the combined organizations' team members will retain their current roles and its cost structures and locations of services and operations will also remain the same, Riley said."We believe that a larger organization will allow us to provide a wider array of products, services, and greater depth," Riley added. "In our geographic region, finding and retaining excellent people is a constant challenge. A larger organization will also mean our associates will benefit from even greater career opportunities."Molding Solutions offers injection molding, product development, engineering, assembly, tooling management and development, and product development assistance. The company is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and uses electric and hydraulic horizontal presses and vertical and rotary platen presses for custom and insert molding.
Seabrook Plastics is a Michigan-based custom injection molding company that develops and manufactures special dies, tools, jigs, fixtures and related products.
