SEPTA: SEPTA to spend $211 million on new fare payment system that uses virtual Key cards

The SEPTA board awarded Cubic Transportation Systems a $211 million contract to design and implement a new fare payment system, the SEPTA Key 2.0, by 2029. Cubic also received an $18.9 million for project management and engineering consultants. The new system will have virtual Key cards.
