Sheraton Kona: Big Island hotel fined for operating a restaurant without a permit

The Hawaii State Department of Health said Monday it has fined the Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay $20,000 for operating a food establishment without a valid permit. The health department inspected the hotel restaurant, called Da Dog House, on Jan. 12, and found it to have been operating illegally since December.
