British chip giant Dialog Semiconductor is buying Santa Clara-based Silego Technology in a deal valued at up to $308 million. Silego employs 235 people worldwide and specializes in configurable mixed-signal integrated circuits, or CMICs, which are chips that can be customized on the fly and are popular with mobile device manufacturers.
