SoCal IP Law Group: Beaverton chip innovator sold for $405M to a publicly owned SoCal firm

A Beaverton company that raised solid rounds at two points during the late 2000s recession, while many of its competitors stumbled, has a new publicly traded partner. Avnera Corp. was sold to Skyworks Solutions Inc. (Nasdaq: SWKS), the companies said Monday morning. Avnera makes fabless semiconductors while Skyworks specializes in low-power analog circuits that allow for more wireless connectivity.
