Birmingham biotech entrepreneur Joe Garner has a new job title: translator. But instead of language translation, Garner plans to ease communication between biotech scientists and the financial connections they need to get their ideas to the market. "These people are really smart and know their science backwards and forward. But they don't know how to get VC funding, do the marketing efforts, and so forth," Garner said.
