Standard Electric Supply Co. is looking to buy about 1 acre from the city to expand its Menomonee Valley headquarters for its growing business. The company currently is north of the Menomonee River at North Emmber Lane. The city owns a large property to the east in the shadow of the Interstate 43 bridges.
