Basic Cigar Info:Name: Torano the BrickStrength: MediumWrapper: EcuadorianOrigin: NicaraguaShape: RobustoFiller: Honduran and NicaraguanLength: 5.5Ring Gauge: 56Price: $3.95The Brick by Torano was originally conceived as an inexpensive cigar for brick and mortar cigar stores where it wouldn't be lost in the shuffle with online retailers. After some tweaks and the addition of some Nicaraguan tobacco Torano reissued the Brick. The Brick is a cigar that stands out right away. Its box pressed with a wide rectangular shape that highlights a thick band around the foot with the Brick very large on it but more on that later. The brick has a nice dark brown Ecuadorian wrapper with no visible seam and a few nice veins. It's really solid and packed full of tobacco and there is no give at all in the body of the cigar. As I mentioned earlier the band on the Brick is around the foot of the cigar. It's thick and large and is brick red (naturally) with white trim along the edges and "the Brick" in white on the front. It's really large and plain but it works great for this cigar. The cap held up great for a punch cutter and the cold draw was good. The aroma was a nice blend of chocolate and coffee with just a hint of sweetness on the cap.The first third lit fine and burned evenly. There was a lot of nice creamy smoke in this cigar and the ash was light and fluffy. The Brick started with a nice nutty flavor with hints of cream and just a little hint of spice. More of a baking spice than a peppery spice. There were also just the slightest hint of leather and cocoa. The ash held until the end of the first third. The second third continued to burn even and was very pleasant. The leather and cocoa flavor were still present and now a coffee flavor came forward with some slight earth notes present. I really had no complaints with this cigar. The final third finished with a nice even burn. The coffee and cocoa flavors came back strong with just a nice hint of nuttiness in the flavor. The finish was a little long but it was pleasant.Overall I was impressed with the Brick. For an inexpensive cigar it was nice and pleasant and had no real issues. It's an affordable cigar that wouldn't be out of place to smoke anywhere.Final Verdict Ratings:Flavor: 7Value: 8Complexity: 7Finish: 7Aroma: 7Strength: 7Overall: 7
