Superior: Ambulance company owners pleads guilty in $2.4 million fraud case

The owner of a Huntingdon Valley ambulance company pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit health-care fraud Thursday afternoon. Beana Bell, 32, of Philadelphia was described during court proceedings as a “minor participant” in the alleged fraud scheme, under which Superior EMS Ambulance Co. submitted $4.4 million in claims to Medicare for providing transportation services to elderly patients who were able to walk and could travel safely by means other than ambulance.
