Tantus: Tobacco firm seeks to avoid losing $3M of equipment in tax dispute

Russell Springs-based Tantus Tobacco is seeking to hang onto its equipment as the federal government tries to collect on a $3 million tax bill. The company has asked U.S. District Judge Joseph McKinley for a temporary injunction against the U.S. Treasury Department, the  Associated Press reported. A hearing is scheduled for March 25.
