The Denver post: Denver's mayor orders residents to stay inside except for essential needs and is even shutting down liquor stores and recreational marijuana shops

Medical marijuana stores are considered exempt and will remain open.Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.Denver Mayor Michael Hancock issued an order on Monday telling the citizens of the city and county of Denver to stay indoors except for essential needs until at least April 10.Denver's metropolitan area has a population of about 3.2 million, however this order applies only to people who live inside the boundaries of Denver, or about 717,796 residents, not the neighboring suburbs.
