Tosohamerica: Tosoh Invests $8.5M to Expand Ohio Production Plant

Advanced materials and chemicals manufacturer Tosoh America Inc. plans to invest $8.4 million in the expansion of its Grove City, OH production facility, economic development organization for the Columbus, OH region, Columbus 2020, announced in a recent release. The company will dedicate $4.5 million to increase the footprint of its Gantz Road plant by 30,000 sq ft, with 20,000 sq ft for distribution areas and 10,000 sq ft for manufacturing activities. $3.9 million will be invested in new equipment. Tosoh's Grove City facility produces film material that has applications in the solar and semiconductor industries, according to information on the company's website. "The Columbus Region is a key location for distribution and offers us a robust talent pool," Tosoh America Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jim Shaffer said in the release.
