New Ford Inventory
The E-Transit is a new model from Ford, but it has already created quite a stir in the auto industry. With the Ford E-Transit, you can enjoy the same benefits and features found in the traditional Ford Transit van and get the added advantage of having an electric vehicle that you can drive for all your work and recreational needs. The Ford Transit has traditionally been one of the top-selling commercial vans on the market. This year, the Transit gets a major update to its powertrain. For the first time, you can enjoy driving the Transit around town or beyond while also benefiting from fewer stops at the gas pump and spending less money on fuel. The Transit is now configured with a hybrid powertrain with impressive range, power, and towing capacity.
One of the Ford Transit highlights for the 2022 model year is the change to the powertrain under its hood. This year, you can choose to get the Ford Transit with a hybrid mechanical system that swaps out the regular gasoline engine for a hybrid system complete with an electric motor and a battery combination. The battery provides the Ford Transit with close to 70 kWh, and the electric motor gives the van about 266 HP in power. With 317 LB-FT in torque, you'll have all the power and acceleration needed for towing and general driving. The Ford E-Transit can get about 126 miles of range, and you can easily charge the van when needed to replenish the battery. The Ford E-Transit will charge in the driveway using a 240V power charger that provides up to 10 miles of range if you charge it for 60 minutes. With a Charge Station from Ford, which provides a bit more power, you can charge the battery up to 15 miles of range in an hour. At a DC charging station with an average capacity of 115 kW, the Ford E-Transit can get about 30 miles of full-electric range with a 10-minute charge.
The 2022 Ford E-Transit is produced in three configurations. Depending on your needs, you can choose the passenger van, a cargo van, and a cutaway style. The E-Transit is nicely equipped with a handful of advanced safety aids, and it has plenty of technology to charge devices and help you on the road, including an infotainment system with a large screen and integrated navigation.
