TransitNet: TransitNet Takes On Crypto Ownership

Los Angeles-based TransitNet, a new startup led by local startup veterans Eric M. Jackson and Christopher Grey, says it has launched a new company focused on offering up what it calls a "title registry" for crypto wallets. The company said its products are aimed at making it safer to hold crypto in self-hosted wallets. Both Jackson and Grey previously founded fundraising software startup CapLinked, and Jackson was PayPal's first head of US marketing. The company said that, among other benefits of its software, it can prevent scams and losses from wrong transactions by verifying the identities of the parties involved before sending or receiving crypto.
