UDC Community College: UDC names new president

Ronald Mason Jr., former president of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been named president of the University of the District of Columbia. UDC has been led by interim president James Earl Lyons, former Maryland Higher Education Commission Secretary, since 2013. Lyons stepped in as interim president after the Board of Trustees fired Allen Sessoms, who'd served as UDC president for four years.
