Universal Orlando: Universal Volcano Bay launches first-ever after-hours event with rides and DJs

ORLANDO, Fla. (BLOOM) - For the first time ever, Universal Orlando Resort is bringing the magic of the islands to the evening hours with Universal Volcano Bay Nights , a brand-new after-hours experience at its popular water theme park. The limited-capacity event debuts this Saturday and will run on select Saturdays this spring, including April 12, 26 and May 3, 10 and 17. Guests can soak up the vibes of Waturi culture under the stars as they enjoy exclusive access to select attractions, character meet and greets, complimentary island-inspired bites and live entertainment. With shorter wait times and cooler evening temperatures, Volcano Bay Nights offers a unique way to experience the park's tropical oasis after dark. Universal Orlando opens ticket sales for Epic Universe, set to debut in May Among the rides open during the event are fan favorites like the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko'okiri Body Plunge and the Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides. Guests can also take a break from the thrills and enjoy character appearances from beloved DreamWorks films, including Shrek and Fiona, Puss in Boots and Kitty Soft Paws, King Julien and Alex from Madagascar, and the Trolls crew: Poppy, Branch and Guy Diamond. Waturi Beach transforms into an island party with a live DJ, limbo, hula hoop contests and more, all set against the backdrop of the park's iconic 200-foot Krakatau volcano. The beachside atmosphere offers plenty of space to dance, chill or grab a bite between rides. Guests can snack on complimentary treats such as Spicy Island Shrimp and Cheesy Cliffside Seashell Pasta, and sip Coca-Cola beverages with unlimited refills using a complimentary Volcano Bay Freestyle Souvenir Cup. Additional specialty items will be available for purchase at Kohola Reef Restaurant and Social Club, Dancing Dragons Boat Bar and Koka Poroka Ice Cream Kona. Tickets to Universal Volcano Bay Nights are $99 plus tax per person and include self-parking. Entry begins as early as 4 p.m., with the exclusive event running from 7 p.m. to park close. Universal Orlando Passholders can receive 10% off the ticket price with a valid Annual or Seasonal Pass and photo ID. To enhance the experience, guests can book private cabanas for the evening starting at $249.99. Cabanas are available on a first-come, first-served basis and must be reserved in-park at the concierge huts.
