Corolla Performance
A 1.8L engine block powers the Corolla L and several other trims. Completing combustion through natural induction, the I-4 powertrain includes the latest Dual VVT-i technology. A modified version of the 1.8 L engine is also installed in the Hybrid LE model, which is driven by the exclusive Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission. The CVT-is is synchronized with the standard version of the 1.8 L gas engine.
Installed in the XSE trim, a 2.0L engine block is paired with the Dynamic Shift CVT. This all-new transmission includes the Physical First-Launch gear for sporty handling. With three driving options to choose from, you'll enjoy a premium ride in the Corolla Hybrid LE in Victorville. The EV Mode extracts maximum electrical power from the battery pack, and the ECO Mode gets supplemental output from the gas engine. The Power Mode pushes the Toyota Corolla to the limit on the highway.
Technology Features
Optional in the Corolla XSE trim, the Dynamic Navigation system has a high-resolution touch screen that measures 8 inches. Looking for restaurants or other businesses? The Dynamic POI Search function is at your fingertips. The Dynamic Voice Recognition technology enables you to interact with the GPS navigation software through speech commands.
Amazon Alexa is an all-new application in the Corolla's updated multimedia system. You can also interact with other traditional digital assistants, such as Siri Eyes Free and Google Assistant.
This affordable Toyota sedan offers best-in-class connectivity, such as the Service Connect portal that's valid for up to three years. Delivered by Verizon, the Wi-Fi Connect service comes with 2 GB of mobile data for up to six months from the date of purchase.
The compact Corolla also boasts highly responsive safety technologies from the Safety Sense 2.0 bundle. For example, the Road Sign Assist and Road Edge Detection are some segment-exclusive functions that were added to the safety package in 2020.
