A Wexford-based employee benefits agency has acquired an insurance brokerage in Somerset County, expanding the company's reach and allowing it to try retail insurance sales for the first time. Benefits Network Inc. acquired VCS Group Inc., which employs 14 people. The deal closed Thursday, bringing the new combined workforce total to 30 people. Terms were not disclosed.
