The main purpose of adaptive learning is to make the learning process as personal as possible determined by the viewers' choices and answers. The content adapts to prior knowledge and learners' needs indicated by responses to questions and tasks. It sets aside the traditional, non-adaptive approach of most current education systems.Here's a demo of our own adaptive learning video:Vidzor - Interactive VideosCreating your own adaptive learning videoOnce you have uploaded your video into the editor, drag the Vidzor Learning app called "EduApp" into a layer. Because we are using the adaptive learning method, make sure you put the app before the explanation of the subject.Step 1: Configure the Vidzor Learning App settingsYour layoutFirstly give the form a name and choose the form and color themes of the header. Don't forget to tick the "Action Required" box which obliges viewers to fill in the answers. You can also choose if you want your questions to contain a number so you can keep track of how many questions you answered in-video.Adding QuestionsBy clicking the "add new component" button, you can choose three different styles of asking questions.The first one is the "Single Choice" where you can pose a question with only one right answer.The "Multiple Choice" question can have multiple answers to one question.The last choice is an "Open Question". Keep in mind that choosing keywords for open questions might be tricky, this option will only approve answers among the words which have been listed. Additionally, it is possible to add multiple components in one sequence. Step 2: Create the right evaluation settingsEvaluation SettingsIn the three boxes you can structure the evaluation process to your own preferences.In order to create an adaptive video, you will need to tick the "evaluate test", which will compare the answer given by the viewer to the correct answer selected in the app.If you want to display the results to the viewer after answering the questions, tick the "Show Results" box.Tick the "Repeat Test" option, if you want the viewer to be able to retake the test to correct the questions that are answered incorrectly.In addition, you can set a passing percentage of how many questions the viewer needs to answer correctly to pass.The next step is to implement a Pass and a Fail Video.Since we are adapting the test result to the learner, the "Pass Video" should skip to the next question because the student already has this knowledge. In order to do so select the video you are working in and set the "Start From" to the next stage. When the viewer fails the question, the video continues and provides the additional information. Do not select a new video and leave the "Jump To" box at -1.Step 3: Finalizing your video.Once you have setup your complete video you can use the preview option to go through the full video and make any changes prior to publishing your project. Finally if you are satisfied with your project, you can go back to the library and publish it live.Step 4: Get started.Now it's your turn!
