Panasonic has been moving and shaking in Las Vegas for this year's Consumer Electronics Show, debuting a wide variety of new products both in their keynote and on the show floor. Most interesting is their line of new LED televisions that they claim are capable of replicating the performance of their old plasma TVs. This falls in line with the announcement in October that Panasonic would stop producing plasmas entirely; creating a more cost-effective product with the same quality is obviously an exciting move. On the more dramatic end of things, Panasonic President Rance Poehler debuted the new Toughpad FZ-M1 tablet by tossing it on the ground during the press conference to prove its durability. Boasting an Intel i5 processor and 8GB of RAM, the new Toughpads seem better built for real consumer use than the slightly niche entries that have come prior. Panasonic is also entering the wearable camera market, unveiling a portable 4K camera that clips to your ear. With a vibrant orange coating, the new line of wearables will be both waterproof and dustproof.Original post blogged on b2evolution.
