Voicesonic Blog Panasonic to Dontate 100k Solar-Powered Lights

Panasonic announced its new initiative to contribute 100,000 LED lanterns to developing countries. The lanterns will be solar powered and should be fully distributed by the end of 2018. So far, Panasonic has already sent 10,000 of these lights to non-electric regions in India, Myanmar, and Kenya. Most of the regions the company is focusing on are mainly using kerosene lamps which release fumes and smoke that can be harmful to humans and the environment. The company has released a website specifically for the project, which can be found here. You can view the lantern itself and the technology used to make this ambitious goal possible. Also included are first hand accounts from the areas that have already received the products.View the full press release here.Original post blogged on b2evolution.
