Medical device startup VytronUS gained $31.6 million and lost a CEO this week. The Sunnyvale company that develops technology for people with irregular heartbeats said CEO Michael Pederson will be leaving for Abbott later this quarter to lead that company's newly-formed electrophysiology business. It didn't say who will replace him. That business was formed after Abbott bought Menlo Park-based Topera this week for $250 million. Both Topera and VytronUS are backed by New Enterperise Associates.
