Just because the package of the coffee filter's show they will work for all 8-10 cup coffee makers - it may not be true. Bunn coffee filters are designed for Bunn coffee makers and are taller than Melitta Filters. So if you are using Melitta Filters in a Bunn coffee brewer you may end up with a mess. Lately I have noticed that there is also a difference in the thickness of some filters. So- it's important to read the recommendation of your brewer as to what filter they recommend.
